What are cookies?
Cookies are small text files that are stored on your device (computer, tablet, or phone) when you visit a website. They are used to make websites work, work more efficiently, and provide information to the site owners.
Cookies we use
We believe in minimal data collection. Our website uses only technically necessary storage to function. We do not use any analytics, advertising, or third-party tracking cookies.
Necessary cookies / local storage
| Name | Purpose | Type | Duration |
|---|---|---|---|
| funkie-cookies-accepted | Remembers that you acknowledged the cookie notice | localStorage | Persistent (until cleared) |
Cookies we do NOT use
- Analytics cookies - we do not use Google Analytics, Plausible, or any other analytics service
- Advertising cookies - we do not run ads or use remarketing pixels
- Social media cookies - we do not embed social media tracking widgets
- Third-party cookies - no third-party services set cookies on our website
Mobile app
The Funkie mobile app (iOS and Android) does not use cookies. It stores authentication tokens securely in device-native secure storage and a single preference flag in local device storage. See our Privacy Policy for full details.
Managing cookies
You can control and delete cookies through your browser settings. Here is how to manage cookies in common browsers:
- Chrome: Settings > Privacy and Security > Cookies
- Firefox: Settings > Privacy & Security > Cookies and Site Data
- Safari: Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data
- Edge: Settings > Cookies and Site Permissions
Note: since we only use localStorage (not cookies), clearing cookies alone will not remove the consent preference. You can clear it by clearing site data in your browser settings.
